FELICITAS WRESSNIG

President and Lead Trainer WFTGA

Studied art and journalism at the Vienna University and is an active licensed tourist guide in four languages for Austria; vocational trainer and National assessor; accredited as Lead International Trainer by the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) since 1999.

Working on Executive Board since 2000, now President of WFTGA.

Vocational Training for WFTGA and lectures took Felicitas Wressnig around the world, most for appropriate training of tourist guide skills, how to interpret and present one’s own local heritage to the visitor; countries visited as lecturer: Abu Dhabi, Armenia, Australia, Bali/Indonesia, Cyprus, Egypt, Georgia, Hong Kong, Israel, Kazakhstan, Singapore, South Africa.

CARLES PICAZO

Bachelor´s Degree in Tourism (TET and TEAT) and Master´s Degree in Business Administration and Management at EAE (School of Business Administration), Carles Picazo was a founding partner and Vice-chairman of the Management Board of BGB (www.barcelonaguidebureau.com)

Has worked as an international tour-guide throughout Europe for over 20 years (with Julia-Tours, Golden Tours, Travelplan, Continental) and 25 years as a local tour-guide in Barcelona, Official guide no.193.

School teacher at the Cett, for over 25 years, teaching courses related to the world of the tour guide, from the year 2000 to 2011 collaborates with St. Ignasi Sarriá as a teacher for the Higher Level Education Cycle on Tourist guide, Information and Assistance.

Quality and Training Manager of Barcelona Guide Bureau, director of the BGB Training Center www.barcelonaguidebureau.cat. Head guide of Barcelona Guide Bureau. Since 2004 annually organizes, supervises and provides a tour guide Exam Preparation Course.

Has been a Member of the Board of Examiners for tour guides of Catalonia and member of the Governing Board of the Catalonia Technical School in Business and Tourism Activities while it existed. Always linked to training issues within the Tourism industry, delivers lectures and provides courses at Schools of Tourism and cultural centers. (Alicante, Barcelona, Benidorm, Calafell, Girona, Reus, Valencia, Estoril and others)

Author of the book “Assistance and Guidance for Tourist Groups”. Publishing Co “Síntesis”.

Through the council chambers of commerce of the community of Valencia, collaborates with the project “Support the Strategic Development of Tourism in Peru”, carried out by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation, developing educational materials for the completion of the tour guide Training Program for both students as well as instructors. Invited by the council of the Official Chambers of Commerce of the Autonomous Community of Valencia, moves to Lima to provide a Training Course for Trainers in collaboration with AECI, and the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Integration and International Trade Negotiations MITINCI and the National Tourist Training Center CENFOTUR, as the Peruvian counterpart.

Comunicação CNIT: “D. Manuel I, o primeiro senhor do Mundo”

ANA ISABEL BUESCU

Nasceu em Lisboa em 1957. É licenciada e doutorada em História pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, onde é professora na área de História Moderna. Tem-se interessado por temas relativos à cultura de corte; livro e livrarias, história da infância e da educação; história das mulheres e ainda por aspectos da cultura medieval. Para além da participação e organização de várias reuniões científicas e da publicação de artigos e ensaios em revistas e actas de colóquios, publicou vários livros: O Milagre de Ourique e a História de Portugal de Alexandre Herculano. Uma Polémica Oitocentista, 1987, Imagens do Príncipe. Discurso Normativo e Representação (1525-1549), 1996, Memória e Poder. Ensaios de História Cultural (séculos XV-XVIII), 2000, a biografia D. João III (1502-1557), 2005 e, em colaboração, coordenou a edição de O Corpo e o Gesto na Civilização Medieval, 2006.

Comunicação CNIT: “Quotidianos na corte portuguesa de Quinhentos”

JOANA RAMÔA MELO

Licenciada em História da Arte pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2005), é Mestre em História da Arte Medieval (2007) e Doutorada em História da Arte Medieval, com a tese O Género Feminino em Discussão, representações da mulher na arte tumular medieval portuguesa. Foi bolseira do projecto de investigação Imago (2005-2008), responsável pela criação da primeira base de dados de iconografia medieval portuguesa. Convidada, desde 2007 e até ao momento presente, para leccionar no curso de História da Arte da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (1º e 2º ciclo de estudos). Os seus trabalhos de investigação têm sido desenvolvidos na área da História e da Arte medieval, com particular incidência sobre a escultura tumular (e, entre esta, sobretudo, a escultura tumular dotada de jacente), a iconografia medieval, o universo feminino e a ‘comemoração’ fúnebre. Neste sentido, tem vindo a participar, como comunicante, em diversos encontros científicos, em Portugal e no estrangeiro (Espanha, França, Inglaterra, EUA), tendo igualmente integrado a comissão organizadora de dois congressos internacionais em Lisboa (o último dos quais em Junho de 2013, no Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, sobre Claustros no Mundo Mediterrânico (sécs.X-XVIII)). É investigadora integrada do Instituto de História da Arte da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, e investigadora colaboradora do Instituto de Estudos Medievais da mesma faculdade. Tem publicado em revistas nacionais e colectâneas internacionais, contribuindo com artigos subordinados sobretudo aos temas da construção memorialística no feminino, da tumulária régia, do jacente como suporte de um discurso social e religioso e da iconografia.

ALEXANDRA PEREIRA

Diploma on Advanced Studies in Tourism, Leisure and Culture from Coimbra University; a doctoral student on the same course. Master in Translation Studies from Porto University and a Degree in French and English Modern Languages and Literatures from the same University. Assistant Professor at Instituto Superior de Administração e Gestão (ISAG), taught English Translation, Interpretation, Subtitling, English for Tourism and Hospitality, International Tourism and Rural Tourism. Full member of the Organizing Committee of the 12th editions of ISAI’s “Jornadas de Tradução” (International Conferences on Translation with ISBN) and participated in the 8th counterparts editions of “Jornadas de Turismo”. Tutored dozens of internships in tourism and took part of dissertations defense juries. Responsible for restructuring ISAG’s BA Study Plans on Tourism and Hotel Management, according to A3ES accreditation rules. Author of several publications about children’s literature translation, written several articles about tourism and culture. Research interests focused in the PhD thesis studying the Tourist Guide role in tourist experience: the Portuguese case.

VITOR AMBRÓSIO

Professor na ESHTE – Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril, desde a sua fundação, em 1991. Também ensina em vários programas de Mestrado e Doutoramento de outras instituições.

Previamente à entrada na Academia, trabalhou como Promotor Turístico e Guia-Intérprete Nacional.

É Bacharel em Turismo no Instituto Superior de Línguas e Administração, Licenciado em Línguas e Literaturas Modernas (Inglês e Alemão) na Universidade de Lisboa, Mestre e Doutor em Geografia na Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Tem publicado em diferentes Revistas Científicas, sendo a sua principal área de investigação o Turismo Religioso.

ANDRÉ SILVA

Nascido em 1986, é Licenciado em Turismo (2008) pelo Instituto Superior de Novas Profissões e Pós-Graduado em Tour-Guiding – Património cultural português e línguas de especialidade (2009) pelo mesmo instituto. É, também, Licenciado em História da Arte (2015) pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Profissionalmente, tem desenvolvido a sua actividade na área da informação e promoção turísticas aplicadas ao património artístico, particularmente no ramo dos serviços educativos, além de também exercer na área da formação e ensino. É Guia-Intérprete Nacional (2009), foi formador do Instituto Nacional de Aprendizagem e Ensino (2011-2012) e é formador dos Seminários The Art of Guiding (desde 2014), promovidos pelo Sindicato Nacional da Actividade Turística, Tradutores e Intérpretes. Além de ter colaborado com várias instituições culturais e agências turísticas é, desde 2010, colaborador da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, onde é um dos responsáveis pela programação educativa, comunicação e gestão turística da Igreja e Museu de São Roque e do Convento de São Pedro de Alcântara, bem como do restante património histórico-artístico afecto à instituição. Integra actualmente, na qualidade de Técnico Superior, o Serviço de Públicos e Desenvolvimento Cultural, da Direcção da Cultura da SCML, e enquanto colaborador da mesma tem apresentado várias comunicações sobre o património da instituição e sobre as relações entre o turismo e os museus.
